Attention 1986 Corvette Owners...
Early 1986 tops have a cone shaped alignment pin located out-board of a threaded mounting hole. The center-to-center distance between the alignment pin & the threaded hole is 2". Late 1986 tops don't have the alignment pin. A metal bracket with a threaded mounting hole, held in place by two torx head bolts, was used. Distance between bolts is 2  1/4"
